The Primary Garden

The Primary Garden has been in existence longest of the gardens. It was established in 2004 with a dizzying presentation of impatients; they were repeated in 2005.  As Impatients were annual, my parents thought that possibly Hosta might be better as those were perennials.  The year after Hosta were introduced with four plants that may parents brought to me.  The history of the garden has had it range in population from 4 varieties to 34 varieties, back to down to the current count of 18 varieties.

During the 2017 year it was hoped that this garden had reached its 'complete' stage where plants in the future would have to be replaced on a limited basis.  ONLY Hosta Popcorn did not come up that year.
